Three day course for ABRSM Music Theory Grade 5 – only £250
Don’t fear the theory with our intensive three-day course to prepare for the ABRSM Grade 5 Music Theory exam. Suitable for students approaching their Grade 6+ practical exam or for GCSE Music students (at least Grade 3 standard), this course includes a three hour refresher session on Tuesday 2 November. The exam will take place online on Tuesday 9 November.
Before the course
Students are advised to work through ABRSM Discovering Music Theory books, or equivalent, before attending the course. Whilst this course will teach all content for Grade 5 theory from scratch, the class will be moving at pace to cover all the topics. When you register you will be required to commit to:
- Completing the Discovering Music Theory workbooks (or equivalent) up to, and including, Grade 5.
- Completing and submitting all the homework that is set following the course. This will take the form of completing a past paper and submitting it to be marked on a weekly basis.
- Making all necessary arrangements to register for the exam directly with the. Details of how to register will be provided.
Places will be strictly limited to allow for appropriate social distancing within the classroom. Please note: if Covid restrictions make it impossible for us to provide this course face-to-face, we will provide teaching online via Zoom on the dates of the course and subsequent Tuesday afternoons (4-6pm).
