for those in years 7 – 9

Berkshire Youth Choir

For those in years 10 -13

Both groups regularly perform in some of the country’s premier concert venues such as Reading Town Hall, St Georges Chapel Windsor and The Royal Albert Hall.  The senior choir also embarks on a tour abroad every 2 years.

What to prepare:

Please prepare 1 solo piece

This can be absolutely any genre (whatever you feel most comfortable singing). Our accompanist will be available but you can also use a backing track if you would prefer.

Aural test

BYV – Singing back a short melody (equivalent to ABRSM grade 2/3), Picking out and singing the top and bottom note from 2-note chords

BYC – Singing back a short melody (equivalent to ABRSM grade 4/5), Picking out and singing the top, bottom and middle notes from various 3-note chords

There will be a range test – you don’t need to prepare anything for this

Audition date: Sunday 14^th November 2021
